The reverse of the coin depicts the Watatsumi Dragon, a legendary water god and Japanese dragon in the world of Japanese mythology. The dragon is depicted arising from the water and holding a beautiful Mother of Pearl insert. The design also features the representation of a typical Japanese temple and the inscriptions: ?SILVER DRAGON? and ?WATATSUMI? ? the name of the coin.
