Lunar year of the Ox proof 2021 | 1oz silver | Rwanda
Lunar year of the Ox proof 2021, Rwanda 1oz silver proof coin
The Rwanda African Wildlife series has been incredibly popular, with intricate designs and a history of premium appreciation. For the first time in 2017, the Rwanda Lunar Ounce was launched with the year of the Rooster. Following the basic design that first introduced the series, the featured image is presented in the style of a cut-glass mosaic. This beautifully sets the Rwanda Lunar Ounce series apart from the somewhat crowded Lunar bullion market.
As a legal tender offering, the obverse displays in beautiful mirror proof finish, a large image of the Coat of Arms of the Republic of Rwanda centered. Inscriptions encircle the rim, including "BANKI NKURU Y'U RWANDA AMAFARANGA MIRONGO ITANU." The face value of 50 Francs is also included.
The reverse features in stunning mirror proof finish, a large, remarkably fine cut-glass mosaic styled image of an ox that fills the center field. The image prominently stands out by the use of the mix of textures applied. Both the ox and the ground upon which it stands reflect the different textures, helping to distinguish the animal from the background. As with previous releases, the background image spills over into the rimband at the bottom. The Chinese character for the Year of the Ox is displayed in a decorative inset at the top. The inscriptions within the rimband include "LUNAR OUNCE . 2021 . 1oz FINE SILVER 999." Also included within the background texture at the bottom rim is "YEAR OF THE OX."
